The religious holiday Pavloven is a holiday of the city of Pehcevo and therefore the municipality, traditionally for the sixth year in a row, organizes the Festival of brass orchestras. This festival aims to promote traditional music, but above all to allow brass orchestras to be more affirmative.
The festival is of a competitive nature and the best participants receive awards:
Participants and competitors are judged by a professional jury; professors in music education at the Skopje Music Academy. Each orchestra presensd a program in duration of 25 minutes, in which there is a Macedonian dance (Maleshevo dance) as a compulsory part for all participants and a free part by the own selection of the orchestras.
As part of the activities for celebrating Pavloven, on July 13, the Ethno Fair Pehcevski Pavloven has been traditionally organized for eight years in a row, which presents producers of traditional food, handicrafts and crafts from all over Macedonia
