Nestled like in a basket, in the far east of Macedonia, the small picturesque Municipality of Pehchevo is pulsating. The administrative center is the town of Pehchevo, spread on both banks of the Pehchevska River, at an altitude of 1000 meters, under the slopes of Mount Vlaina, surrounded by large and deep pine forests, cold streams and fresh mountain air.
\nAlthough small, this town has a long and rich history. Archaeological artefacts show that in this area there was a settlement in Roman times in which iron ore was mined and exploited from the mountain Bukovik. According to the residents, the town owes the toponym to those stoves, ie pedestrians. In the Middle Ages, the settlement was an important economic and administrative center.<\/div>
